NORFOLK, VA – April 1, 2025 – The Up Center, a leading non-profit organization in Norfolk, Virginia, is proud to announce the return of Step Up and Step Out presented by ECPI University! This year’s event will take place at Harbor Park Stadium in Downtown Norfolk on Saturday, May 3rd from 8:30 AM to 12 PM. Rain or shine, participants are invited to climb the stairs of the stadium or do a 2 mile walk/run along the Elizabeth River Trail, in a timed event that raises funds to make a difference in the lives of over 10,000 children, families, veterans, service members, and people with disabilities across Hampton Roads.
Since the inception of the event, Step Up and Step Out for The Up Center has raised nearly $700,000 for the Family Promise Fund at The Up Center. This fund is crucial in providing critical services such as counseling, early childhood education, and financial and career development to those in need within our community.
