The Up Center is always seeking mental health professionals to provide intensive in-home, mental health support, individual and group counseling in the Hampton Roads area. Full- time and part-time positions are available as well as internships from accredited schools for Social Work and Counseling. This includes:

Our COVID-19 Response

Working at The Up Center during the COVID-19 Pandemic

At The Up Center, we recognize the multi-faceted challenges and the ongoing public health crisis that the COVID-19 pandemic presents to our communities and our employees.

We are committed to prioritizing the health, safety and well-being of all Up Center clients and employees during this crisis and have taken steps to address this, including:

  • Providing most client services and appointments remotely via telehealth;
  • Increased communication across the agency to ensure all employees feel supported, connected, and informed;
  • Training staff in all safety protocols;
  • Created COVID-19 Information and Resources page on our website for clients and employees, including CDC and local guidelines and resources, teleworking tips, free resources for parents and caretakers working with children at home, wellness tips and resources, etc.; and
  • Providing flexible work arrangements for employees to meet their various needs and obligations in both their professional and personal lives.
