About the Program

The Up Center offers a range of services to help resolve family conflicts. When separation or divorce are unavoidable, we help to minimize the negative effects for children.

Mediation

Mediation helps parents focus on what is best for their children and empowers them to resolve disputes over issues such as custody and visitation on their own. This service is free for low-income and active duty families.

Education for Divorcing or Separating Parents (For Children’s Sake)

The Up Center’s For Children’s Sake seminars help divorcing or separating parents focus on parenting responsibilities, co-parenting, and their children’s emotional health and development. For Children’s Sake is court approved and offered in Suffolk, Norfolk, and Portsmouth.

After nearly two decades of excellence in providing Supervised Visitation in Hampton Roads; The Up Center is no longer accepting referrals for this service.
