Norfolk, VA – The Up Center is thrilled to announce the receipt of a generous grant of $2,000 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation.
The Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation plays a vital role in supporting organizations committed to alleviating hunger in the communities it serves. The Up Center is honored to have been chosen as a recipient of the Feeding the Hungry grant, which will contribute significantly to the Food Lion’s ongoing efforts to combat food insecurity in Norfolk and the surrounding areas.
The funds will be dedicated to food purchases for The Up Center’s 2023 Thanksgiving Food Drive, further strengthening The Up Center’s ability to address the root causes of hunger and empower individuals and families to lead healthier lives.
The Up Center remains steadfast in its dedication toimproving lives and outcomes through prevention, intervention, and support services and this grant from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation represents a significant step forward in achieving that mission.
