Norfolk, VA — [March 4, 2026] — The Up Center, Hampton Roads’ oldest and largest
human services nonprofit, is proud to announce the return of its annual fundraising event,
Step Up & Step Out (SUSO) 2026, to be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, from 9:00 AM to
11:00 AM at Harbor Park (150 Park Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23510).
Step Up & Step Out is a high-energy community fundraiser featuring both a stair climb
and a run/walk, bringing together hundreds of participants, families, and local businesses
in support of The Up Center’s life-changing programs. From foster care and mental health
counseling to financial coaching and services for veterans, proceeds from SUSO help
ensure that vulnerable children, families, and individuals across Hampton Roads don’t
have to face life’s challenges alone.

community,” said Tina Gill, CEO of The Up Center. “This event not only raises critical
funds but also brings people together in a powerful show of unity and support.”

addition to the race events, attendees will enjoy children’s activities, music, community
partner booths, and opportunities to celebrate the impact of The Up Center’s mission.
